When you’re not working, you like to….

My favorite and most important to me are my 3 children, Jackson, Addyson & Alayna.  I love attending all activities and events that they are involved in as well as the simple things, cooking, playing games, working out and just talking with them daily.  I also love all outdoor activities, from boating to running and biking on the beautiful paths around New England.   I come from a large family with 6 siblings and 25 nieces and nephews.  Family time is the most important and cherished time to me.

How do you contribute to your community?

My main focus and contribution is helping in many capacities for Athletes Unlimited through the Newton Park and Recreation  Program. Athletes Unlimited provides recreational and social programs for children and adults with disabilities.  My oldest daughter Addyson has down syndrome.  This program offers her a chance to partake in everything from singing groups and dances to basketball or BINGO.  Such a great program with so many wonderful people that help so many people with disabilities in our community.  It is truly a fabulous program!

I handle all of our community support and volunteering opportunities and involve the entire office, which is very rewarding and beneficial for all.

Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?

I am from Green Bay, Wisconsin and lived there most of my life until moving to the Boston area.  I’m still very connected to Wisconsin as many family members still live there, but am happily adjusted to the New England lifestyle. I live in Newton currently and my daughters both attend Newton North High School.  My youngest daughter Alayna has now clinched a 2nd state championship on the Volleyball Team!  We spend many many days watching volleyball around the state.  It has been a very exciting and enjoyable experience for all!
