Kierin Herr joined Balance Wealth as an intern and assistant to David Allen and will be supporting the team in the Wellesley office while learning about wealth management. Kierin attended a year at Providence College studying business finance before taking a COVID-19 break and plans to finish his degree. Kierin is a graduate of Hopkinton High School in Hopkinton, MA, where he played football and developed an interest in business through launching Varsity Movers, which provides personal moving services.
As a receiver and quarterback, Kierin said he learned about hard work, discipline, and teamwork - qualities that he brings to business. He launched Varsity Movers as a way to earn money while working around his hectic school and sports schedule. He has learned about the full scope of business doing his own hiring, accounting, and marketing for the company, which was incorporated in January 2020. Through running his own business, Kierin said he has become good at talking with different people and learning about their needs.
At Balance Wealth, Kierin is looking forward to learning more about managing money and planning opportunities. It is more important than ever, he says, for people to be smart with money and to understand how to manage it. He brings a fresh perspective and eagerness to learn about financial planning.
